SUBJECT: The Garden City Library has received $12,153 from The Friends of the Garden City Library to purchase needed library materials.
Garden City, ID, October 5, 2009 – The Garden City Library has received $12,153 from The Friends of the Garden City Library. The money will assist the library in purchasing new materials such as: large print, audios, videos and non-fiction titles that are popular with the community.
Garden City Library is the “Number One Circulating Library in the Treasure Valley per capita”. Last year the library checked out over 18 items per citizen in Garden City. “We are thankful to the Friends of the Garden City Library for all their support. The Friends have donated over $47,000 to the Garden City Library since 2006,” says Lisa Zeiter, Library Director.
The Friends of the Garden City Library will be having their Semi-Annual Book Sale October 15-17th at The Garden City Library, 6015 Glenwood St, Garden City Idaho. All proceeds will go to purchase new materials for the library.
